If could choose one book

If I had to choose one book to save I would save the bible. Although there probably are books that appear more interesting to us and less confusing, the bible is where it all started. Not everyone does, but a lot of people live their lives by the bible. Even if you aren't christian I believe the bible is still important because other religions study the old testament. Even if every person doesn't the read the bible, some people should know of it so that they can teach others as preachers do.If the bible were to no longer exist than life as we know it (those who live by the bible) would be destroyed unless we were to carry it on, on our own. I hope and pray that were, the world, is never put in the situation where the bible has an chance of being non existent.

Halloween

Growing up as a kid Halloween was always one of my favorite holidays because I loved getting to dress up for one night and having the choice to be whatever it was the that I wanted to be. I wasn't like the average kid when it came to this holiday because I never really ate much candy. Almost every year when I went trick or treating I would eat a little bit of my candy within the first 2 or 3 nights and then the rest of it would just sit in my candy bucket. I'm not really a big fan of chocolate candy so a lot of the times I would just eat the starburst, skittles and all of the other fruity candy. I remember one year I went trick or treating and I had dressed up as a vampire. I thought I was so cool because I got to wear black nail polish, fake fangs, and even blood on the side of my mouth. My cousins and I always went trick or treating together when we were younger and a lot of my friends lived in his neighborhood and I always thought it was really cool when we would stop at their houses for candy. Halloween wasn't my absolute favorite holiday but it came really close. Elementry school was always fun around holidays because we always got a chance to do fun stuff like play bingo for candy, color pictures and even complete crossword puzzles. Looking back I can say I always enjoyed Halloween as a kid.

Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec

The painting that I chose from Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec was The Kiss. I chose this picture simply because it was very appealing to me. He used red as the background, which definitely stuck out to me. I feel that the purpose of this painting was to give off the vibe that the painting is about love or maybe even lust. The audience would be the younger generation because the people in the painting appear to be young also which is why I mention lust because sometimes us young people think were in love with someone and we might not be. The genre of this of this picture is an actual oil painting. My stance on this painting is objective just because what this particular painting means to me might mean something else to someone else. I'm just making my own assumption, which is that this is a picture of a young couple that may be in love, and that they are making love to each other. The design/media of this picture is also print. With that being said, usually a picture has a bigger range of the way people respond to this because there is no print, nothing telling you what this picture is representing. So its up to you to create your own thoughts in your head. I think this is a beautiful painting, and I would like to own it one day and have it hanging up on a wall.

If I could change anything about WSU

If I could change anything about WSU I would like the school to be just a smidge bigger and in a different location. I wish that more people were involved with some of the things that go on, on campus. This is my first year so I understand that is why I don't know that many people now but I wonder if that will ever change. I also would like to add bigger parking lots. Looking for a parking space when you don't have an early class is the worse thing ever here at wsu. I think the size of the school is a decent size and I already don't like walking across campus now but it would be nice if there were even more people, that aren't commuters. I just feel that it would create an even better college like atmosphere. If I could move WSU to a different state then I would move it somewhere warm either close to a beach or even a lake. But if it were in a different location I don't know if I would even know about the school because one of the reasons I chose to come here is because it's close to home and I like that I can go home whether it's the or the weekend when I need something. Although I know that I can't change any of these things I am still happy with the choice that I made to come here because I think it's a really nice and great school visually and academically. I like all of my teachers so far and the people here are still really polite. Although a lot of these people are from nearby, they are still others who have traveled here from others states and I think it's really interesting to meet people that grow up in a different environment that you did because you can learn a lot of new things. I wish the population was more diverse in terms of culture but it is nice to see a place where the handicapped are excepted because I believe they should be able to do everything that those who aren't handicapped can do. Changes or not I still love Wright State.
